Hi, my name is Madi Hawn. I wanted to share a little more information about me. I am originally from Switzerland and came to the United States in 1978 as a private teacher with a Swiss Family. Prior to that I had spent 1.5 years in Toronto, Canada as a Nanny.
I was intrigued by Photography as a young adult and even bought a nice camera for my trip to Canada with money I had earned by working in a grocery store during vacations from school. However, I soon figured out that I could not afford buying and developing film and so my life went into a different direction.
However, about 25 years ago digital photography made its debut which changed everything. I received a gift of a point-and-shoot digital camera and soon after graduated to a Nikon DSLR. I started to take Photography and Photoshop classes, joined the St. Louis Camera Club and the Photographic Society of America Worldwide (PSA) and spent every free moment taking and processing images. I was hooked !
Being a teacher by trade, I decided I wanted to share my passion for photography with others by giving classes. For the past 13 years I have taught Photography and Photoshop at various venues and also provided instruction through private lessons. I have and continue to exhibit my Photography at various localities, receive Awards in local, national and international competitions and volunteer my time with the St. Louis Camera Club and the PSA
I hope you enjoy looking at my images. If you feel compelled to work on your photographic skills consider my Classes or maybe you want to purchase some Photo Cards or Images from the Image Gallery for a friend, family member or yourself.
